Rustic Accents Blend Beautifully in North HurstOutdoor Entertaining Made EasyThis One’s Perfect for First-Timers and Downsizers Alike

Hurst is the featured city for this week’s Suburb Sunday, and for good reason. It’s been ranked one of the best places to raise a family for its stellar H-E-B ISD schools, safe community, and central location for commuters. With its nearby neighbors Euless and Bedford, Hurst makes up the popular mid-cities often referred to as H-E-B. Residents love the abundance of shopping and stores near Northeast Mall and throughout the city, but with a small town feel — the best of both worlds, really. Here are three great homes in the $250k-400k range that we found in Hurst. Which is your favorite?

Rustic Accents Blend Beautifully in North Hurst

Timbercreek1

Address: 3460 N. Riley Place, Hurst

  • 4 bedrooms, 4 baths
  • 3,169 square feet
  • $398,000

Something about the barn door-style garage makes this 2003-built house really pop. Walk inside to find more rustic wood accents like woven bamboo shades, hand scraped hardwood floors, and floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace. The gourmet kitchen has granite countertops, white cabinetry, and a large island with storage and bar seating for one. The downstairs master suite has a touch of shabby chic with whitewash wood-style floors, a freestanding soaking tub, crystal chandelier overhead and huge stand-alone shower with rustic wood accents. Upstairs are three more bedrooms, two full baths, and a large game room with dry bar. Listing agent Paulette Green of Ebby Halliday Realtors says the roof was replaced and two new water heaters were installed last year.

Outdoor Entertaining Made Easy

Timbercreek1

Address: 400 Ridgeview Court, Hurst

  • 4 bedrooms, 3 baths
  • 2,708 square feet
  • $339,900

This 2004-built stone facade home centrally located near Bell Helicopter sits on a huge, treed lot with a backyard you gotta see. Grill under the shade of the covered patio in this outdoor kitchen with built-in barbeque island drawers and cabinets, large countertop prep space, and bar seating. The patio overlooks the heavily-treed trail that sits next to nearby Rickel Park, plus this Ridgeview Court home has a huge fenced yard, too. Listing agent Melanie Hunt of Century 21 Mike Bowman Inc. says the home was recently remodeled, with updates made to the kitchen and carpet and wood flooring throughout. The master is located downstairs, two bedrooms upstairs, and a fourth bedroom serves as a front study with interior French doors. The master bath has dual vanities, a standalone shower, and a jetted tub.
