“Vibes” — such a strange word and yet we all know exactly what someone means when they say, “It gave me good vibes,” or “Bad vibes are all over that.” And if I tell you that today’s Tarrant County Tuesday has Texas Hill Country vibes, you know exactly what I mean.

How’s that for privacy?

Texas Hill Country Vibes

I’m biased. I grew up in the Texas Hill Country and went to school in Austin so I’m a fan of that area. While I’d never want to live in Austin again (too expensive, too much traffic, and too many pseudo-intellectuals) I will always appreciate the eclectic homes and architecture that still haven’t really found its way up Interstate 35 to the North Texas area.

I also grew up in a home that was built with Austin Stone, so maybe I’m drawn to those homes for nostalgia’s sake. Whatever it is, this home in Keller certainly has those vibes. Building with different materials simply makes a home more unique and interesting.

The home and guest home seem to be constructed around trees

Located on nearly two acres of beautiful trees, this home of 3,886 square feet is constructed of Austin Stone, brick, stucco, and metal. It has a rustic-modern look and feel that you’d totally see in our state’s capital city.

How cool is that moon gate-style archway?

The main home is a single-story, four-bedroom, three-and-one-half-bathroom, very open floor plan with many eye-catching features. Upon entry, you immediately know you’re not in a cookie-cutter home as you are met with a circular archway — yes circular. It’s so interesting that I have to show another photo of it.

Yes, that’s a circular archway that opens to the rest of the home. See why I said it gives off Austin vibes?

Throughout the home, there are rooms and areas with different angles and ceiling heights that add character that you rarely see anymore. Overall, the home is very inviting and perfect for gatherings or casual dinners.

Notice the continued use of different materials and ceiling heights

Outside, you’ll really feel like you’re in the Texas Hill Country with the Live Oak trees and undulating topography surrounding the pool, spa, guest house, and entertaining areas.

There’s tons of shade and places to hang out in the back of 712 Bandit Trail.

One Great Guest House

Just a few steps from the main house at 712 Bandit Trail is an 800-square-foot guest house with a bedroom, full kitchen, and living area.

The guest house is just steps from the pool

With the pool and spa and guest house and the privacy provided by the trees, this home now is giving off oasis vibes. It’s a retreat, and yet it’s in the middle of Keller off Davis Blvd. You can’t get any more centrally located on the West side of the Dallas-Fort Worth area than this — yet it feels miles away from reality.

On top of all the aforementioned goodies and Texas Hill Country vibes, 712 Bandit Trail also has a six-car garage and storage for an RV or boat. Why you would ever need to leave this place for a vacation I have no idea as this is an urban resort home. Serious good vibes, for sure.

Amber Butcher of Engel & Volkers Southlake (who is always good at contacting me about her listings) has listed the home, land, guest home, pool, trees, and vibes 712 Bandit Trail for $2 million.
