4.17 Acres in Frisco Nabs You 9340 Square Feet With Soda Fountain, Sauna, and Eternal Spray

Last week, readers complained that I offered up a $3.9 million dollar home in Frisco.

“$3.9M to live in Frisco?! No way, Candy. No way.” Said at least one reader.

But look at what Steve Brown wrote about Frisco just last week — the poor guy can barely keep up with all that’s happening up there — Frisco Station, the Omni, the Dallas Cowboys’ new 91 acre center, and Wade Park:

Now with more than $5 billion in developments in the works, Frisco is arguably the most dynamic real estate market in Texas.

Ahead of Uptown, Plano, Richardson — Frisco has more huge developments these days than any other property market. And if only half of them get built, the one-time railroad town will be ground zero for the biggest commercial real estate boom ever in North Texas.

“Just about every tract of land from State Highway 121 to Main Street along the toll road is having plans made or is under development,” said Jim Gandy, CEO of the Frisco Economic Development Corp. “As large as these projects are, there is going to be a long line of announcements over the next couple of years.”

Did you hear him? “And if only half of them get built, the one-time railroad town will be ground zero for the biggest commercial real estate boom ever in North Texas.” — that’s pretty heavy real estate stuff. Another developer put it to me this way: for every job that Toyota brings to this region, four more jobs will be created. So yes, we tend to think that most homes over two to three million are restricted to the Park Cities, Preston Hollow, Glen Abbey, Preston Trails and of course the chi chi areas of Southlake such as Vaquero. But Frisco is getting pretty darn fancy pants.

I challenge all you Frisco area agents to send us your best, most over-the-top, totally decadent homes from $3 million and up. Even better if it’s sold. Let’s show the folks south of LBJ that some very smart cats are dropping $3 plus big ones to live the glorious life in Frisco. And that today’s $3.9 million dollar estate could be tomorrow’s $5 million dollar spread.

Built in 1991 — that far back — this home offers a private gated estate on 4.17 acers overlooking a pond with a full-time fountain. It’s gigantic — not as large as Deion’s 29,000 square feet in Prosper but 9340 is some serious square footage. Even the garage is huge and loaded with storage, workbench, custom flooring, a kitchenette and a wine cooler! The rooms are huge and spacious, the floors are marble, and the ceilings soar.

PS: If this look kind of gives you the Dynasty chills, go over and check out what magic Joan Eleazer did with a similar vintage style home in the heart of Preston Hollow. It’s listed for $6,950,000. Clean up those special finish walls, and this place could have a whole different look.

Picadilly Park has a huge gourmet kitchen with an extra work area, private his and her offices, gigantic master with sitting room and fireplace, his and her closets, spa bath, and a guest room downstairs. Upstairs is a media theater room with a large soda bar, a gameroom, four more bedrooms all with en suite baths, and so much storage you could shop linens at nearby Stonebriar Mall for a year and not fill these closets. Outside is a lovely pool and spa circled by soaring palm trees.

And look at what Myla tells potential buyers — not that this home is “12 minutes from downtown Dallas” because hogwash, it’s not. Frisco is at least 30 minutes from downtown Dallas. But she does say:

Five minutes to Cowboys, FedEX and Toyota Headquarters, Frisco ISD!

Because that’s what they want to hear. Asking price is $3.6 million.

So tell me, who will spend $3.6 million on a house in Plano?
