Those who know Fort Worth know that Rivercrest Landing is a unique, hush-hush neighborhood that offers scenic views and backs to nearly 30 acres of privately owned wilderness.

The gated neighborhood is comprised of only two streets and is literally a minute or two from Rivercrest Country Club and golf course. The elite enclave feels as if it’s a magical world of trees and seclusion. You almost expect a unicorn or white rabbit with a pocket watch to come running out of the forest.

Santa Barbara Style

This particular Santa Barbara-style home is on the high point of the neighborhood. As many will tell you, the part of Rivercrest Landing that is on Rivercrest Court is a fantastic hill with what could be world-class sledding during ice storms or snowy weather — except you’d probably crash into a home at the bottom and that’s not a good thing.

Notice all the French doors (eight sets in all) next to the three-car garage and separate guest casita.

With majestic views of Fort Worth from the front and a private forest at the back, this 4,500-square-foot home was built with inspiration from homes in the Santa Barbara area. A true clay barrel-tile roof, private terraces, operable French doors that lead to covered patios all make this four-bedroom, four-bathroom home an inspiring dwelling

The other side also has French doors that lead to the covered front porch.

The home has an easy flow to it. There are areas of the home — the living room in particular — that are flanked by multiple French doors that lead to the pool and outdoor living on one side and a covered porch on the other. Natural light pours into many rooms of the home.

On days when the weather is nice, the doors can be opened to allow a cross breeze throughout the room — something all good Santa Barbara-style homes should have.

The L-shaped kitchen includes a large center island and all the amenities you would expect from a home such as this. The location of the kitchen is placed where sight lines and access allow for views and natural light. A breakfast area is neatly tucked away on one end of the kitchen while an informal gathering area that leads to the dining room is on the other side.

Ultimate Privacy

If tranquility, exclusivity, and luxury are what you need in a backyard, then you’ve found the spot. We’ve already discussed how this home backs against a privately owned, heavily treed wilderness, so privacy is certainly part of the backyard.

The pool backs to utmost privacy with the large forest adjacent to the backyard.

You can almost hear the waves of the Pacific Ocean and feel the cool salty air of Santa Barbara when soaking up the pool and outdoor living area. Even if it’s a Texas 100-plus-degree day, there are plenty of shaded areas to still enjoy the surroundings.
