Do You And Your Spouse Want to Renovate Your Home on HGTV? Here’s Your Chance

Do you watch home renovation shows on HGTV and fantasize yourself being on one? Well, here’s your chance now. A casting company is on the hunt for “fun, outgoing couples” in the Dallas/Fort Worth market who want to renovate their houses on HGTV’s newest TV show, Renovation Impossible!

The show stars contractor Russell J. Holmes, whose team will provide planning, design services, additional labor, and materials to make renovation dreams come true. Holmes, who has a stellar black beard, is Richard Rawlings’ contractor on Discovery’s Fast N Loud and Garage Rehab. Holmes cuts an imposing figure, so if he renovated your home, you’d probably want to keep design criticisms to yourself.

The show also features Paige Poupart, a Dallas home designer and real-estate agent. She’ll team with Holmes to help homeowners with their renovation plans.

“Paige and I share a ‘school-of-hard-knocks’ approach to renovations and budgets for our clients,” Holmes said. “We open their eyes to what they can really do with their money and find creative ways to pull off the improvements that crashed their momentum.”

Here’s the concept, according to North Hollywood-based Pilgrim Media Group, which produces the show for HGTV:

Maybe you’ve got steak and lobster taste on a fast-food budget. Maybe you can’t see eye-to-eye on design. Maybe your partner hasn’t been able to commit to the renovation, or you’re both too overwhelmed by life’s commitments to take the next big step. No matter how impossible your situation may seem, there is no problem that Russell and his team can’t solve.

To express interest, couples must send an email to [email protected] with recent photos, phone numbers, and a brief explanation of why they need help from the Renovation Impossible! team. Or you can register here.

The casting company has these stipulations:

  • You and your home must be available for filming and renovating for approximately eight to 10 days between September and December 2021. Final dates are to be determined.
  • You must own your own home or be able to get written permission from the homeowner to film and renovate the property.
  • You must have an existing renovation budget (or be able to qualify for a home improvement loan), which the team can utilize and supplement.
  • You must be at least 18 years of age and a U.S. resident to apply.
