From the Makers of Kessler Woods Comes a New Project: Kessler West

Meet Oak Cliff’s newest luxury housing development: Kessler West.

With a strong focus on art, architecture, nature, and community, this new development’s ethos is one for the modern age.

“Now more than ever, the market has responded with a strong desire for homes that go beyond a ‘home,’” Vice President of Al Coker & Associates Fernando Gonzalez said. “Kessler West is challenging the norm in North Oak Cliff and bringing to market a collection of townhomes will set the standard for architectural, spatial, and aesthetic designs in Dallas.”

Much of the team – from renowned architects to management – is the same that was involved in creating Kessler Woods, a buzzy project that brought luxury, modern living to the Dallas area in 2005 and was called the “gold standard” for residential real estate in Oak Cliff by the local press.

Art, Nature, and Notable Features

The new Kessler West development consists of three different home formats – two-story townhomes, three-story townhomes, and a luxury residential midrise.

“Kessler West is perfect for a buyer who appreciates modern architecture with sophisticated finishes and warm colors,” developer Matt Holley said. “It’s quite literally built for lovers of art and nature.”

Art designers were consulted in the home layouts and lighting, making a Kessler West home the perfect space to showcase art.

High-profile landscape architect Kevin Sloan is involved in creating a living experience that integrates nature. Not only do features such as private courtyards and rooftop decks with sweeping views of downtown Dallas incorporate the great outdoors, Kessler West is also a close neighbor to the trails of Twelve Hills Nature Center.

The first phase of two-story units comes along with some pretty sleek features that are relevant to the new COVID era. In a time where we all are spending a lot more time at home, every unit is built with privacy and comfort in mind. Features like sound-proof office rooms ideal for Zoom calls, fenced private back yards and luxury amenities make Kessler West a great place to live even in the midst of a pandemic.

Kessler West also delivers on the idea of luxury without the work. It truly is lock-and-leave with HOA maintenance of the grounds and all exterior elements of the homes. For those that may want to “age-in-place,” all units are designed for elevators to all levels of the home including the rooftop decks. This ability to live life with less work is a luxury itself.

The Oak Cliff Market

“Oak Cliff is a unique market,” Holley said. “With Kessler West, we wanted to incorporate everything that makes this neighborhood special, while bringing an unprecedented luxury option to the market.”

Holley said Kessler West is made for those who love the vibrancy of the Oak Cliff community. The development is near the action, not far from downtown, while also enjoying close proximity to outdoor vicinities.
