Plano’s Normandy Estates has produced one of the best luxury condominium developments to come to market in our region’s recent memory. Sur Le Lac, which is now completely built out and totally gorgeous, offers a unique lifestyle with a location that can’t be beaten. This is lock-and-leave living at it’s peak. Sales are brisk: the development is nearing a 50 percent sell-out.
Sur Le Lac is where daltxrealestate.com hosted an evening wine tasting with Sommelier Lynn Urban, who is also the VP of Sales for Sur Le Lac and Starside Custom Builders. Not only were the wines delicious, but so were the finishes inside these luxury condominiums, built by one of the region’s best home-building brands, and hosted in the clubhouse for the community overlooking the sparkling pool.
Location + Custom Home Finishes
What makes Sur Le Lac so different from other luxury condominiums? The location is prime in Plano, just west of Legacy West and the Dallas North Tollway. Hint: if you cross 121, you are too far west. (Don’t ask how I know!)
The finish-out of the units is top custom build quality. One happy owner I spoke to told me this was the best lock-and-leave option in North Texas. This owner has a second home in San Diego and they split their time between Plano and Cali.
Sur Le Lac offers 40 homes in three two-story buildings: All units boast huge balconies and patios, all of which are plumbed for gas for when you install your outdoor kitchen. And you can enjoy the outdoors no matter the season, as all units feature motorized screened porches. The homes are generously sized, ranging from 2,350 to almost 3,000 square feet.
Each home has huge showers with body sprays, vessel tubs, ample closets, built-in storage, massive kitchen islands with extra storage on each side, plus very high-end quartzite and granite countertops as well as Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances. Each home is assigned two parking spaces in the subterranean level, covered parking, plus a 10-by-5-foot storage unit. The elevators are close to your parking spots for easy access to your condominium.
An Oasis in the Heart of Everything Fun
There is a security patrol and a gate, but most of the folks who live in nearby Normandy Estates or at Sur le Lac are generally outside walking dogs, walking themselves, or taking in the sun. At our event, most owners (and wine tasters) were outside, appreciating the view of the lake and green belt. As one person said, “This is like an oasis in the city.”
Pricing starts in the mid $1.4 million to $1.5 million.
