There are two kinds of people in this world: Those who eat their chocolate Easter bunny ears first, and those who just don’t care. A report by WalletHub says 59 percent of Americans eat their chocolate bunny ears first, while 33 percent don’t have a preference. Four percent say they eat the tail first and another 4 percent eat the feet first. Savages.

Whether you’re an ears gal or a tail kinda guy, the Metroplex has plenty of unique ways to host Easter egg hunts from up in the sky to down on the ground with goats. I’d leave your chocolate bunnies at home for these.

Geocaching at Reunion Tower

Reunion Tower’s observation deck becomes the spring GeO-Deck for this geocaching-inspired Easter event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, March 30 and Saturday, March 31 at 300 Reunion Blvd. E, Dallas, 75207. Take the elevator up to the Reunion Tower GeO-Deck to hunt for eggs across the city, found only through observation deck telescopes. Meet the Easter Bunny on the GeO-Deck from 11am–2pm and watch magician Diamond Jim perform sleight of hand tricks from 11am–1pm. Tickets start at $8.

Skyline Views on the Bridge

Celebrate Easter On The Bridge at Dallas’ Ron Kirk Pedestrian Bridge (formerly Continental Ave. bridge) from 1 – 4 p.m. Saturday, March 31 at 109 Continental Ave., Dallas, 75207. Enjoy photogenic views of the Dallas skyline and the Margaret Hunt Hill bridge, while the kiddos take part in age-grouped Easter egg hunts beginning at 3:15 p.m. There’ll also be bounce houses, train rides, a meet-and-greet with the Easter bunny, face painting, a petting zoo, a cake walk, carnival games and more. This event, which is free and open to the public, is hosted by City of Dallas Trinity Waste Management, the Dallas Police Department and the West Dallas Gateway and St. Paul United Methodist Church.

Well-Dressed Dogs in Oak Lawn

The Oak Lawn poochy tradition, Easter in the Park, returns for its 52nd year, taking place from  10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 1 at 3333 Turtle Creek Blvd., Dallas, 75219. Dress your pups in their Sunday best and strut down Turtle Creek Boulevard for the annual Pooch Parade, where prizes for best costume will be awarded in several categories, including best look-a-like, best spring costume, most creative and best child and dog costume. The Easter egg hunt for kids 10 and under begins at 1:30 p.m.. There’ll also be DJ music, an appearance by the Easter Bunny and a variety of food trucks, including Bellatrino, Easy Slider, Ruthie’s Rolling Cafe, Snowie Naturals and So Cal Tacos.. The event, which is free to attend, is hosted by the Lee Park Conservancy and the City of Dallas.

Goat and Bunny Yoga

You don’t want to eat the treats inside these Easter eggs. Celebrate Easter by collecting goat-feed-filled eggs before your goat yoga class, “while our Mini Goats graze or jump around (or on) you,” say the folks at Goat Yoga Richardson, 446 Highland Blvd., Richardson, 75081. If goats don’t connote Easter for you, try doing yoga with a live bunny. One of Dallas’ original goat yoga purveyors Deep Ellum Yoga, 108 S. Crowdus St., Dallas, 75226, is hosting bunny yoga, an adult egg hunt and after-class brewery reception as part of its fundraiser benefiting Cathy’s Critters. These two events are sold out, but no roundup of unique Easter egg hunts would be complete without these goat-ally out there ways to celebrate Easter.
