This Little Forest Hills Home Is All About The Features

Builder Jeff Baron is popping up e’verywhere — this time in Little Forest Hills. He’s teamed up with Compass’ Jacob Moss to create the ding dang dreamiest “Is it modern? Is it transitional? It’s both!!” home that’s currently listed for $750,000. AND it’s not quite completed so if you want to make an offer, you would also have the opportunity to add a few of your own flourishes. Perhaps a pool? Hint, hint.

If you’re like me, your first question is, “Hey Hoss, how’d this partnership come about because you’re definitely a Realtor-plus.” As Moss explained it, he is. From project start to finish about one year later, Moss is there from the very beginning because he loves collaborating with builders. Especially Baron.

The thought behind this house is simple. It’s in Little Forest Hills so it needs to both stand out and blend in because it’s an eclectic little mix over there, so cookie cutter won’t cut it.

And Moss said as much. “If you’re looking for a big box, this isn’t your home.”

True to Baron’s style, this is large enough to give you all the space you need without going overboard just for hugeness sake. Instead, they take the time to come up with incredibly efficient and beautiful design.

On the books it’s a three-bedroom, three-and-one-half-bathroom, two-story house, but there’s an office downstairs that you could flex into a fourth bedroom if you wanted.

Let’s work our way outside in because in this particular area, the front yard is as custom as the interior.

The property at 8603 Forest Hills Blvd. is surrounded by a gabion wall. “A what now?” A gabion wall. You know it’s that thing that looks like rocks in a cage, but in actuality it’s a super modern fence. That’s the kind of detail you’ll see throughout 8603. It’s not just a fence-fence, it’s a little work of art that also provides privacy and defines the space.

From the exterior, the steel beams also continue in the home to give it a clean, cohesive look. Inside all the dining areas are at the front of the house and the living areas are in the back.

The kitchen was co-designed with Porcelanosa and features “modern bi-fold cabinetry.” Or as I’m going to call them, DeLorean cabinets. You know, the kind that open up (not out) and get this, these STAY open at any height. Not just when they’re all the way up.

The Master and the study are downstairs, and a floating staircase takes you up to the additional two bedrooms – each with a dedicated en suite bathroom – and gameroom.

There are dozens of other details like a metal roof and commercial store front doors, so do yourself a favor and reach out to Moss. P.S. These photos are inspiration only, but a fully rendered video exists and we’re pretty sure if you ask nicely Moss will totally send it your way.
