What are the first places that you think of when it comes to tech companies? Naturally, Silicon Valley in California is one of them, along with New York City, and there’s Austin, Texas. Dallas is another one, though.

That last one might make you wonder what effect these companies have on the real estate marketplace. Add the fact that there’s a little over 900,000 acres of farmland in the DFW area, and two separate markets are going on here. Agricultural water pumps are part of a lot of real estate costs as normal housing ones are.

Homes Are Appreciating In Value

When a tech company moves into an area, that makes real estate people happy. That’s because a lot of people who are making good money are coming to the area. This group includes things like CEOs, managers, engineers, and other workers.

As a result, the homes can go for a higher price than what some other areas might be asking for. The people from the tech companies are usually able to pay those prices. This means that the realtors can get more of a commission.

Homes Are Becoming More Technological

Here’s another area where the tech companies are affecting the prices of homes. These tech workers are going to want to have places that have a lot of technology, like smart alarm systems, appliances, and other things. Those additions are going to cause the price of the houses to go up.

While this might be initially costly, they can keep upgrading these systems and that will also allow them to sell the place in the future at a higher price.

Tech Can Help Farmers With Their Land

The topics of tech companies, real estate, and agricultural pumps might seem to be completely different from each other, but there can be a common thread. Tech companies are needed to create things that can help the farmers and their staff who work on the 900,000+ acres of farmland cultivate healthy crops.

The point of agricultural water pumps is to ensure that the crops and other things are consistently growing healthily. They are made with irrigation in mind, and the tech companies are constantly improving them. One area in which they have excelled is making them automated in a way that the landowners can have separate areas get customized amounts of water regularly.

Tech and real estate are things that are going to be intertwined for the foreseeable future, especially since many homes are going to have these smart features. The same goes for things like lawn care and agricultural water pumps for the farms. The market for these will continue to rise until it reaches a point where any tech advances will be negligible.

The 21st century will be one of technology becoming even more part of day-to-day life. If you want to live in the Dallas area, you need to keep that in mind. Then you’ll be able to budget for a home or have a farm.
