Red and WhiteThe DestinationA Very Special Raffle

With all the fa-la-la-la-la-ing in December, Engel & Völkers added another stop to the party circuit last week. The brokerage firm opened its newest office last week in Preston Center, right across the street from Ebby Halliday’s iconic Little White House. It’s just a dash across Northwest Highway to get from Ebby’s place to Engel & Völkers’s new place. Of note: there are now SIX major residential brokerages officing in Preston Center: the new EV office, the Agency, Compass, Dave Perry Miller, Coldwell Banker Realty Dallas, and Ebby’s aforementioned iconic Little White House. That’s the largest concentration in the city. In contrast, there are ZERO brokerages in downtown Dallas.

The opening of the EV office in Preston Center was chock full of Realtors, brokers, inspectors, and other dahlings of the industry to check out the new digs.

Red and White

The entire office was awash in red and white, the firm’s signature colors, not to mention the colors of the season. Of course, Roxann Taylor, the company’s North Texas matriarch, chose red for her office’s debut. She held court attaching red jingle-bell bracelets to wrists — partygoers’ favors as they walked in the door.

Red velvet cupcakes and peppermint bark kept the red theme going, along with Engel & Völkers-emblazoned water bottles. Guests wound through the office, nibbling from the carving station and charcuterie boards before finding themselves at the very popular bar. Signature cocktails — such as the “Mrs. Claus” and a spicy margarita — were on the menu. Cheers!

The front door was flung open for last week’s opening of Engel & Völkers’ newest office in Dallas.

The sleek office, mostly white with red accents, includes a ZIP Code map of the North Texas territory —quite handy for Realtors and buyers alike. Keeping up with the red-and-white theme was the man of the month — Santa, with his ensemble perfectly matching the party’s color scheme.

Desserts, water bottles, and world maps all followed the red-and-white signature colors.
The carving station was set up just in front of the North Texas ZIP Code map.

The Destination

Dallas, you know, always gets its share of attention, so of course this event was worthy of the EV nobility swooping in for the soiree. The organization that specializes in “premium residential property, commercial real estate, yachts, and aircraft” maintains offices in 32 countries on five continents.

Corporate office attendees from New York included Angie McFarland, Max Klekner, and Terry DiPaolo. Other offices from Oklahoma, Houston, Atlanta, Beverly Hills, Sausalito, and the other North Texas locations came, too, to offer congratulations.

A Very Special Raffle

On the corporate level, Engel & Völkers supports Special Olympics as its charity of choice, and Becky Shoulders of Special Olympics for Texas Unified was there for the Dallas festivities. Shelby Carr, a Special Olympics athlete, was there to speak about it.

Roxann organized a raffle with the winner getting two platinum-level tickets with a parking pass to the Dec. 30th Dallas Cowboys game. The winning ticket was drawn, and that very nice person decided to play a little Santa Claus herself. Her name shall not be put in print because her husband, “would freaking kill her if he knew what she did.”

She gave the tickets to Shelby.
