Anderson Series by Minotti

As Autumn Smink heads off to Italy for the Milan Salone, we wanted to get a sneak peek at the trends that will hit this standard-bearer of Italian furnishings. The annual event is the launching point where manufacturers come out with their new and exotic designs, said Jennifer Smink.

So, what does the duo behind SMINK Inc. expect to see at this industry event?

“Minotti will be presenting the Anderson sofa series with full-bench seat cushions that are quilted,” Jennifer said. “It’s quite a beautiful museum look that is appealing to both traditional and contemporary clients.”

We agree, as the lines are linear without being too hard, and the pieces would be at home in most homes, providing both unity and contrast. They are truly foundation pieces, much like a well-designed white button-up in your wardrobe.

White Sofa by Minotti

“The White Sofa Series that they introduced last year will be more defined,” Jennifer added, “with new pieces that create architectural combinations of square and rectangular shaped seating pieces that fit together in different combinations.”

And if you think lounges and living rooms are getting all the attention, wait until you see what you can get for your patio and deck this spring.

“Minotti will also present new outdoor furniture in order to provide a coordinated look for clients who have indoor/outdoor rooms or high-rise balconies,” Jennifer said.

Stay tuned for a report from Milan, as SMINK Inc. dives into the newest and best modern furniture!
