Midcentury Bungalow in Midway Hollow July Fourth Barbecue-Ready

Sometimes it pays to pay attention to Facebook yard sale groups — because our Rental of the Week today is a Midcentury Bungalow that came straight from one, after its owner let the group know that she was getting ready to list her Midway Hollow rental.

Robin Barrow’s two-bedroom, one bath home is at 3955 Durango Drive, and is a perfect example of what a well-maintained rental can look like, and what a well-maintained post-war home should feel like.

And it should — it was once her own home. Outside, the curb appeal on the brick bungalow gets an assist from mature trees and spruced up flower beds.

Inside, the 1,390 square foot house has hardwood floors throughout, custom blinds, a nice-sized kitchen that is a perfect marriage of Midcentury and today, and two generous bedrooms, plus an adorable original bath.

And did we mention that the washer and dryer are included, and the alarm and cameras are ready to go for additional security (Midway Hollow also has an excellent crime watch you can join as well).

Outside, you have the perfect setup for that July Fourth barbecue, with a private backyard surrounded by an eight-foot cedar board-on-board fence. A brand new pergola provides shade for al fresco dining or relaxing in the very big backyard, too.

Rent is $2,200 a month, and the home will be ready on July 1. Ready to check it out? You can contact Robin Barrow, the owner, at (214) 202-8966, or click here.
