It’s a Race To See Who’ll Be Crowned Winner of This Mustang Lakes Beauty

Back in the day, the Dallas North Tollway was a nickel to get on at Royal Lane and ran out at Keller Springs Road. Now it costs… well, definitely more than a nickel and takes us all the way to Celina, an exurb consistently ranked as “the fastest growing city in North Texas” and “one of the top cities to live” in the state.

If you’re in house-hunting mode and those monikers intrigue you, you’ll want to narrow your search down to Mustang Lakes. The master-planned community was developed by The Cambridge Companies who have developed numerous award-winning communities in Dallas/Fort Worth, so they know what they’re doing. The land they chose was the site of Twin Eagles Farms, owned by the Folsom family (think Bob Folsom, former Dallas mayor). It was a real working ranch where thoroughbred horses were bred, raised, trained, and shown.

As such, the streets in Mustang Lakes are named after some of history’s most famous racehorses. We like to think the recently listed 2722 Seabiscuit Road, offered by Kam Gill in the Ebby Frisco office, would certainly have a place in the Winners Circle.

At under a million — $900,000 actually — it’s a five-bedroom, 5.1 bath home set on nearly a quarter-acre with room for a pool (renderings have already been created for you). It’s in the highly regarded Prosper ISD and you can ride bikes or take your golf cart to the local elementary as well as to the state-of-the-art amenity center, clubhouse (the original ranch house), catch-and-release fishing pond, tennis courts, and more.

Lush landscaping and stone edging give the 2018 home an established look from the outside. Gill describes the interior as “better than new, with a plethora of luxury upgrades typical of Shaddock Homes.”

Architectural eye candy abounds including a show-stopping staircase and alllllll the ceiling types — groin vault, regular vault, barrel, and trey — to keep things looking up. Real nail-down hardwoods, quartz countertops, custom wall treatments, custom cabinetry, and professional-grade appliances are just a few of the many details that have not been overlooked here.

In the spirit of horse racing, we’re betting this one won’t last long. Call Kam Gill at 972.746.7742 or email [email protected] to schedule a showing.
