GetMediaThis Monday Morning Millionaire has the three M’s going for it: media room, man cave and magnificent master. In fact, we might even be invoking the O-word as we traipse through this home from front hedge walkway through the traditional and classic front door to the fabulous pool in the back with a soaring sun room overlooking paradise.

Um, you do know the O-word, right, but in fringed boots?

1136 Turner Avenue is located within blocks of Bishop Arts, which you could almost walk to if you wanted a good workout.1136-Turner-hedge Or wanted to work off the fabulous meal you were about to consume. Turner is just south of West Colorado Boulevard. Methodist Hospital — right there. In fact, this home well may be on or near Pill Hill.

1136-Turner-front-doorThe home has 4950 square feet — just shy of 5,000! — with four bedrooms, four full baths, two living areas, a craft room, a music room, a library, media room, man cave, and everything updated to the 9th degree. Oh and high ceilings: talking 12 foot at least. The hardwood floors are new, the Carrerra marble is just off the boat from Italy, sturdy storm windows, recessed lighting, built-in coffee-maker. The kitchen is amazing — new cabinets, spacious, wine cooler, dishwasher drawers, and I just love that bead board-backed hutch in the pretty breakfast room with those expansive views to the back yard, which is really paradise in Oak Cliff. I mean, there are palms, tall palms!

Built in 1948, it also has a master bedroom suite that is oh (no, “O”) so 2015: it includes a fireplace, huge walk in closet and a sun porch.

Plus outside, you can romp on .38 of an acre. Try finding THAT outside of The Hood for $1.1 million. Yeah, just try. This home has a stunning pool, a cabana complete with kitchenette, gas fireplace, pool and hot tub with fountain plus multiple outdoor decks. The outside is a sheer entertainment oasis. This is such a great family home (with such class) OR a an empty nester retreat that would be like having a second home about ten minutes from downtown Dallas, over that magnificent bridge.

Or yeah, under $1.2. Let me tell you one reason why I love this house so much. It reminds me of 5511 Park Lane, our old house, R.I.P. She no longer exists on the lot, but had a similar look and feel, though she was an older dowager (1936). Before we sold her, I debated a sun room addition to the back breakfast room that would have enjoined the front foyer to this room. The original home was a small, two-story French quarter number with center foyer, living and sun room to the right, dining and kitchen to the left. Upstairs were three simple bedrooms and almost no closets. Someone had re-muddled the house before we bought it, I re-muddled it a little more, and was always itching to do the sun-room thing.

Now, thanks to 1136 Turner Way,  I get an inkling of what that might have done for our house, and I think the bar is an exquisite touch. Oh Cher...GetMedia-4 GetMedia-5 GetMedia-6
