When last year’s Heritage Oak Cliff Home Tour was canceled on account of the pandemic, the non-profit neighborhood coalition saw the door on its largest annual fundraiser temporarily close, too. But come Oct. 23-24, the streets of Oak Cliff will come alive again with a new spin on the city’s longest-running home tour fundraiser.
From “porch tours” of historic homes to a carnival and pop-up art gallery, the inaugural Passport Oak Cliff will feature 14 different attractions spread across Heritage Oak Cliff’s 30 participating neighborhoods, each offering attendees the chance to collect passport stamps for a chance to win nightly prizes.
Passport Oak Cliff is presented by Heritage Oak Cliff, the non-profit coalition representing 30 Oak Cliff-area neighborhoods. Proceeds from the upcoming event fund the Heritage Oak Cliff grant program, which provides funds to member neighborhoods for projects that contribute to the overall quality of life in Oak Cliff. The grants can fund up to 60 percent of proposed projects that provide long-term benefits to the community.
