FORE! Putter Around The Green With This Richardson Ranch

373562712-1-e1567998371952In the heart of Richardson, just across Belt Line from Cottonwood Park, there’s a cute little neighborhood filled with ranch-style houses built in the 1950s. Many are well maintained. Most are no frills. Some are nicer than others. And one has a putting green.

Yes, that’s right, 701 N. Cottonwood Drive has a putting green. And that’s just the beginning. Situated at the corner of N. Cottonwood and Northlake, the oversized backyard also offers an arbor, a hot tub, a lighted bocce ball court and a greenhouse with electricity. It was designed for entertaining and also being everything you ever wanted. Kids love it, pets can’t even handle it, and adults are just happy to sip a beverage while you man the grill.

373562712-1-e1567998371952The house is updated and a wonderful mix of modern and traditional. The fireplace in the living remains while the kitchen has been completely updated. In place of a dining area, you’ll find a custom glass brick bar for directly in front of a set of French doors that lead to your fabulous backyard.

The bathrooms have been remodeled and the bedrooms are freshly painted paint. There are three bedrooms total and let’s focus on that third that’s currently being used as an office.

373562712-1-e1567998371952Wood paneling remains and we’re really feeling those rackets on the wall. It’s a place where bills are paid and business is done. You just sort of know these things. Maybe the owner wears those black armbands and green see-through visor like old time-y bankers. We would. It just has a vibe and we’re INTO IT.

In the master, the door has been replaced with a tri-colored wood barn door and it works. The ceiling fans and most fixtures are traditional and then there’s a pop of a stained glass pendant in the dining-turned-bar area.

This house is full of surprises and it’s cozy and warm and fun all at the same time.

373562712-1-e1567998371952The landscaping alone makes this house a standout. It’s lush and green and filled with hearty plants that can take the heat. There are also two rain barrels out back to help keep it all fresh and verdant. Yeah, we said verdant. Check the dictionary, we even used it right.

As for the other updates, they roof was replaced in 2013, the AC was replaced this year along with the furnace. The water heater is new as well and the west and north fence were recently replaced.

Pack your golf clubs and take a tour of  701 N. Cottonwood, a three-bedroom, two-bathroom house, listed at $299,700 by Aaron Jistel with Listing Spark.
