Registry Fine Homes is a very sharp home builder. Why build out a 6,500-plus-square-foot home with umpteen bedrooms and bathrooms, high utility maintenance, not to mention that giant check we all just wrote over a month ago to John Ames, Dallas County Tax Assessor?

Instead, they took 5922 Boca Raton Drive in northern Preston Royal, listed by Doris Jacobs, gave it 4,572 intelligently designed square feet, four bedrooms, three baths, two living areas, and two dining areas.

What more could you want? Well, how about the flexibility to expand? How about three extra bedrooms, two baths, and a media room? Done. The home features a 1,300-square-foot build-out of two attic spaces already designed for, containing installed plumbing stub-ins, three additional bedrooms, two baths, and a media room.

That space, plus a plumbed-in downstairs powder room, will yield a total of 5,872 square feet.

That’s a whoppin’ big house, but only if you need it.

The home as is encompasses four bedrooms, two of which are downstairs, requisite formals and a game room. Designed by Myer Studios, the fabulous clean-lined, two-story home is graciously appointed with handsome wide-plank hardwoods, light-filled windows with transoms, deep cove molding and craftsman-trim details, sculpted archways, transitional wrought iron lighting and detailing, and beautiful granite, marble, and porcelain tile surface finishes.

A dramatic stacked stone fireplace wall centers the main living area with its floating wood mantle, flanked by richly-stained built-in bookcases with extra storage. This oversized great room is the heart of the home and is open to the kitchen and breakfast area. Serving the space is a dry bar, which houses granite counters with a mosaic glass-tiled backsplash, wine storage plus a stainless steel wine cooler refrigerator. Handsome, wide-planked hardwoods floor the room and a wall of large windows, with transoms, provide abundant light. Additionally, French doors open to reveal an expansive covered terrace.

Throughout the entire house, entertaining is effortless with the modern open floor plan and spacious living areas. There is one wet and two dry bars, sound system speakers, and that expansive covered terrace showcasing an outdoor stone fireplace wall and a Texas limestone and granite-topped kitchen area appointed with a built-in Blaze stainless steel grill, all overlooking beautiful, verdant landscaped grounds including a botanical garden designed by Art That Grows.

Basically, you never have to cook or eat indoors again.

The chef’s island kitchen also sports custom Cherrywood cabinetry, granite counters with a Crema Marfil marble subway and glass, mosaic-tiled backsplash, and premier stainless steel appliances. Those include a Thermador six-burner gas cooktop with griddle plus an immense vent above, full-size refrigerator and freezer, electric oven, warming drawer and dishwasher, a Miele steam-and-convection oven, and KitchenAid microwave. There is also a Blanco double-bowl Siligranit sink plus a secondary vegetable sink, two breakfast bars, butler’s pantry, with glass front top cabinets, and a large, light-filled walk-in pantry prefaced with a wood-and-opaque glass door. Befitting the kitchen is also a built-in desk area with butterfly doors and storage and a large breakfast area that overlooks the terrace.

The master suite is downstairs, luxurious and private, and boasts a sitting area with built-in bookcases and large transom-topped windows, emulating an abundance of light. The marble-and-porcelain-tiled bath is appointed with oversized his-and-hers vanities, a desk area, a jetted tub, a separate double shower, immense storage, a coffee bar area, a commode room, and a huge walk-in closet.

The second level of living is as impressive as the first, with an oversized game room bearing a richly stained granite-topped wet bar, mosaic glass-tiled backsplash, stainless steel bar sink, GE microwave, and a wine cooler refrigerator: everything you need to prepare game snacks. Two additional bedrooms with generous closets overlook the front landscaped grounds. There is an efficient Jack-and-Jill bath connecting, featuring separate dual vanities, a white pedestal sink, and a tub/shower, clad in white subway tile-and-mosaic glass-tiled accents.

Then there is the additional living square footage: a 1,300-square-foot potential build-out of an attic already fit with plumbing stub-ins for two additional bedrooms, another Jack-and-Jill bath, media room, plus an additional attic space.

Don’t need the space? Use it for storage.

The downstairs guest suite (or study) has a large closet outfitted with an above ground built-in storm shelter. A pocket door opens to an elegant marble bath, replete with a separate shower providing roll-in wheelchair access, done in tumbled marble and porcelain-and-glass tiled accents.

Outside, the backyard grounds beckon the most sophisticated entertaining. An exceptional outdoor entertaining area showcases an expansive covered terrace with stone fireplace wall, floating wood mantle and raised hearth, a bead board ceiling with dual fans, and slate flooring, plus the aforementioned appliances. All overlooks verdant landscaped grounds, a botanical garden designed by Art That Grows, and the kind of trees this neighborhood alone provides. There is even a nearby spacious dog run area.

Lest we not forget the garage: an oversized three-car attached tandem garage with front and rear entries, plus a 240V circuit for a Tesla charging station and that has also been configured for a future gas power generator. Room for three cars, but you are so close to the incredible shopping at Preston Forest the cars will charge while you walk. A sliding gate completes this stunning residence. Additional amenities include three zones of HVAC, a whole house water filtration system, and Ring audio/video doorbell.

Doris Jacobs has listed 5922 Boca Raton Drive for $1.395 million.
