415-blondy-jhune-extTrue story: I was sitting on an airplane Sunday night, heading back to Dallas, working on this blog post. The woman next to me looks over my shoulder (we were NOT in First Class!) and says, oh we have looked at that house! It’s gorgeous!

I start to talk with her about real estate. Guess where her family wants to move? Lucas or Fairview. Guess how old this woman is? Late 30’s. Three children. She recently started being a stay-at-home mom after a busy career. I ask her if, as the demographers and City Huggers claim, she doesn’t want to flock to the urban core? Doesn’t she want to shed her car and bike the kids all over town?

She looked at me as if I had just spilled my wine on her. No, she told me, we want more space around us. Kind of getting sick of people, at least so close by. We’d love a spread like this one on Blondy Jhune and we’d really love some land around us. Her husband wasn’t thrilled about a commute on 75, but some days, he was working remotely.

So here at 415 Blondy Jhune Road you have an amazing, coveted home on 2.01 acres with it’s own pond and fountain for $1,095,000. How more earth-friendly can you get? Built in 2014, the home is practically brand new. The interior amenities will blow your mind at this price point: hidden alcoves, a laundry chute, dual dishwashers, state-of-the-art electronics, kitchen, cabinets, finishes, and 5456 square feet. The home is built on 110 piers on slab, even in the driveway and garage. The game and media rooms are upstairs and separated from the bedrooms for noise limitation, and no finished space or rooms over the master suite allow for quiet seclusion. Listed with the one and only (he really is, in this neck of the woods) Tom Grisak at Keller Williams.

That is, until the dogs bark! Hec, on 2.01 acres, you might not ever hear them!

Oh! What was the other important thing my new friend told me? School districts! Lucas and Fairview rock, and that’s what they want with three kiddos. So see? How can you blame Adam McGough?
