Did Someone Say New? Technically No, Because Real Estate Law Won’t Let Us.

There are remodels and then there are re-basically-brand-new-construction-models. The v. stately manor at 10920 Scotsmeadow Drive is definitely the latter.

In fact, all that remains of the original 1967 cutie house with the A-frame accent is the foundation, the chimney and “some bricks around the garage.” This, according to listing agent Carolina Garzon with Allie Beth Allman. Seriously. This wasn’t a gut job, it was a…well…um…huh…whatever’s more than a gut job, it was that.

We’re talking all new everything from top to bottom, tip to tail, etc., etc. For real though, let’s start with the new roof, HVAC, wiring, sheetrock, texture, paint and, well, you get the idea.

And Fort Homes added a whole extra bedroom, bath and 1,188 additional square feet.

This house is HUGE. It’s your forever home and then some. What was formerly a generous home is now extra generous, like, truly. It just gives and gives like a thoughtful mother well on her way to martyrdom.

It started as a four-bedroom, three-bathroom, two-story home covering an expansive 2,766 square feet. Now, it’s a five-bedroom, four-bathroom, two story home covering an even more expansive 3,954 square feet.

Inside the Parquet and brick floor of the era have all been stripped away along with those pesky, choppy walls. In their place? Gorgeous honey-hued wood flooring, an open kitchen with stunning floor to ceiling cabinets (that no doubt soft close) and as for all those walls that defined the space, but really just got in the way? GONE. Left in their place is an effortless, flowy space that lets the owners define what goes where.

There are quite a few windows in 10920 Scotsmeadow and a lot of attention to detail like…everything. The flooring, the fixtures, the finish out. It’s all on trend without being trendy and that’s no small feat.

Other exceptional things or just fun things to point out – The Master bedroom is sunken, the closets are huge and hexagonal tile is here to stay. Well, at least for now.

If you’re interested in a basically brand-new home that rests comfortably in an established neighborhood (the best of both worlds!!), give Garzon a call. She’ll be happy to set something up.
