Dallas Real Estate Agent Lists State’s Highest Priced Home … in Houston?

Let’s get one burning question out of the way right off the bat. Why is a Dallas real estate agent representing a listing in Houston? And not just any listing in Houston, but currently the largest residential listing in the entire state of Texas. Bigger than the Ames Estate on Lake Austin ($50 million). And bigger than the Crespi Estate in Dallas ($60 million). This is an important question, and you have every right to know!

One word: connections.

With properties like these, you never know where your buyer might come from and who you know that knows them. That’s Billy Dolan’s philosophy anyway. His listing at 107 Timberwilde Lane, aka The Lodge in Hunters Creek, has already garnered lots of national and international press, as much for its $65 million price tag as for its incredible 9-acre footprint and immaculate construction. So where the new owner will hail from is anyone’s guess. But if anyone can help find them, it’s Dolan.

The Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate agent was born in Germany, grew up in SoCal, went to college at The University of Arizona, and started his real estate career in CA, so he has been around – both geographically and in the industry. He’s dually licensed in CA and TX, and even though Dolan lives primarily in Dallas, he has listings right now in and around the LA/Beverly Hills area through a luxury brand there. He is also very familiar with Houston’s luxury neighborhoods. Which makes him perfectly primed to connect transplants from the Golden State with the Lone Star State.

In addition to his extensive connections, did we mention Dolan is highly discrete? You have to be when you’re dealing with high-caliber clients in high-end markets. Such interactions require a different mindset and a delicate touch.

Observes Dolan, “Texas is coming alive in the ultra top end of residential real estate.”

And obviously, he’s here for it.

“For those who’ve ever fancied having their own moat, The Lodge is surrounded by Buffalo Bayou on three sides, adding to its prestige and privacy,” says Dolan. “This estate is where location, acreage and quality come together and offer a package that cannot be replicated. The level of thought and intention put into the site development, architecture and finishing details are off the scale.”

He adds, “Because I sell real estate in California as well as Texas and have seen many grand estates, I can confidently say this one is special.”

The pictures of The Lodge tell its story better than words can, but just to hit the high notes, here are a few details you should know.

The estate, which resides in Houston’s wealthiest ZIP code, is also buffered by the expansive grounds of the Houston Country Club. There is only one way in through a private, guarded gate in a cul-de-sac, so if security is at the top of the must-haves list, check that one off!

Many of the materials and finishes in the home were sourced from Europe. Exterior construction includes hand-cut limestone blocks a minimum of 12 inches thick, brought in from the same quarry as the limestone used to repair the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., after 9/11.

The centerpiece of the 2005 estate is a magnificent 22,000-square-foot main house comprising six grand en-suite bedrooms and eight bathrooms with a custom hand-built, wrought-iron and glass elevator connecting its three floors. Outside are five custom “showcase” auto garages (plus several more spaces for a total of nine), a flex court, pool and complete outdoor kitchen and bar. And beyond the main residence and down a long, picturesque gravel road, is a secluded two-bedroom guest lodge with its own private pool and spa.

Worth every penny, we think. Don’t you?
