We have a lot of love for a well-done, realistically priced three-bedroom, one bath home in Dallas, especially if it’s on a great lot. So when we found this adorable Midcentury Cottage for this week’s Weekend One Hundred, we knew we had to share.
See, a good 3/1 on a decent-sized lot with a terrific price point is worth its weight in well, money. You can buy now, and after you’ve built up some quick equity (because hey, it’s Dallas) or save, you’ll have enough to add a second bathroom and nice closet and turn one of those bedrooms into a true master suite.
And our house this week, located at 8232 Rayville Drive, is one of those houses. Three bedrooms, one bath, just over 1,000 square feet, and sits on a 7,841 square foot lot.
But even better, it’s move-in ready. It’s had a ton of updates, from the practical (a 2018 foundation repair that is still under a transferrable warranty) to the aesthetic (new carpet, refinished hardwood floors in the common areas, new doors, new lighting, fresh paint).
And both the kitchen and bathroom have been completely redone.
Outside, a huge backyard provides plenty of space to play (and to potentially expand later), plus a shed that has electricity.
The home is also zoned for B.H. Macon Elementary, which has a B in the state’s A-F accountability ratings.
This home is priced at $149,900, and has been on the market for nine days (and probably won’t be on the market too much longer). It’s listed by Benjamin Campos with Ultima Real Estate. Want to see more? Click here.
