Republic Property Group — developers of masterplanned community Light Farms in Celina, TX — has donated $2 million to Prosper ISD as well as the land for a new elementary school. The campus, which will be located within RPG’s sustainably oriented Light Farms development, a 1,070 acre community with tons of family friendly amenities.

“As Jake Wagner and I take over the operations of Republic Property Group, we have made it a priority to continue with the legacy established by our founders of supporting our community. Education is one of the most important investments we can make for the future, and our work with various organizations locally and nationally, is something we are very proud of and excited about,” said Tony Ruggeri, CO-President Republic Property Group.

RPG and its principles have had a long history with philanthropy in education, donating funds to national organizations such as the National Center for Learning Disabilities, The Lab School of Washington, UT Southwestern, various education programs at nonprofits, as well as local organizations such as Dallas ISD and Denton ISD. Since 2000, RPG has donated more than $9.4 million to educational causes.

“We are thankful and proud of the growing partnership with the Light Farms Development,” said Drew Watkins, superintendent of Prosper Independent School District, in a press release.
