I heard this might be happening: Alice Walton has decided to sell her Rocking W Ranch in Millsap, Texas, out in Palo Pinto County. One of the billionaire heirs to the famed WalMart fortune has listed the ranch with the Fort Worth ranch sales king himself, Allen Crumley of Williams-Trew, an Ebby Halliday company, for $19.75 million.

According to Forbes Magazine, Alice Walton is the wealthiest woman in Texas and has a personal fortune valued at $39.4 billion, with a B.

The 1,435-acre ranch is one of the largest cutting horse ranches in Texas. It sits along the county line between Parker County and Palo Pinto County in Millsap, which is a 45-minute drive from downtown Fort Worth. Beautiful country.Alice-Walton

According to Wednesday’s press release from Williams Trew, Rocking W is one of the most iconic ranches in the nation. I have no doubt.

“Rocking W Ranch is truly unique in its diversity and features a beautiful blend of improved pastures and wildlife-friendly native habitat,” says Crumley, a Fort Worth native who specializes in residential, farm & ranch, and raw land. “Assemblages with the make up this ranch offers are hardly ever made available and present a special opportunity for prospective buyers.”

The 1,432-acre ranch offers three-quarters of a mile of Brazos River frontage with significant water rights and mineral rights with current production.

Mineral rights!

Rocking W Ranch includes full professional equine facilities, hundreds of acres capable of producing Coastal Bermuda hay, and a very diverse hunting terrain. In addition, it is home to an approximately 4,000-square-foot main residence overlooking the Brazos Valley and additional residences for staff and guests.

With the sale of Rocking W Ranch, Ms. Walton intends to turn her attention to other priorities, including the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, Ark., which opened in 2011. She is the chairwoman of the museum’s board. A dear friend visited the museum recently and told me I have to go.

“I have loved this business and this way of life,” Walton says. “But it is time for me to pull back and focus on other things that really matter to me.”

The Rocking W Ranch is co-listed with Coalson Real Estate of Weatherford, Texas.

The news and press announcement came on the day we learned of the death of Ebby Halliday Acers, the icon at the helm of the Ebby Halliday companies. Ebby Halliday purchased Williams Trew Real Estate in 2014.
