Let’s start with the Roman brick exterior that’s the perfect shade of sandy beige and really lets that era-appropriate turquoise door pop. Landscaping and mulch were recently added and who even cares? We love this house. Look at that little hip roof. Too cute, but wait, there’s more …

2308916ed9e9d5b24bb8852b9d105c43l-w1571474093xd-w1020_h770_q80Inside the kitchen is completely redone and the warm wood cabinets are so modern, but fit the space perfectly. Quartz countertops that are definitely new, but still blend with everything that’s going on? Yes. They even added an additional cabinet under the window for more storage. As we all know, people that lived in 1964 apparently owned very few things so any extra storage space is welcome. Maybe the opposite is true and today we all just have way too much stuff, but let’s pretend it was them. Not us.

2308916ed9e9d5b24bb8852b9d105c43l-w1571474093xd-w1020_h770_q80Are you looking up at those stunning wood ceilings because they’re amazing? And recessed lighting? STOP.

In the entryway the owners opted to keep a version of wood paneling but one that you never saw in your grandma’s house. It’s carried over to the built-in media cabinet where your flat screen will fit perfectly. Love the brown glass tile that runs the length of the media cabinet, and makes an appearance in the kitchen, too.

2308916ed9e9d5b24bb8852b9d105c43l-w1571474093xd-w1020_h770_q80There’s only one way to describe the light fixture in the dining area – KILLER. There’s also a huge picture window looking out into your wonderfully treed backyard. This might be our favorite room, but oh wait, there’s the master bath.

2308916ed9e9d5b24bb8852b9d105c43l-w1571474093xd-w1020_h770_q80We’re back at it with the custom wood ceiling in the master bath and all the tile choices are a refreshing change of pace from the very trendy white and gray color combo. Guess what else? That amazing mirror over the double sink vanity has LED lighting.

2308916ed9e9d5b24bb8852b9d105c43l-w1571474093xd-w1020_h770_q80And then there’s the guest bath with a wall of white hexagonal tile that’ll make you plot a remodel even if you don’t need one. And again, the fixtures. It’s the complete and total attention to detail that makes this house such a tremendous find. EVEN THE TOILET IS COOL.

2308916ed9e9d5b24bb8852b9d105c43l-w1571474093xd-w1020_h770_q80If you’re a Type A Handyman, say no more. In the garage, you’ll find the tidiest built-in workspace you’ve ever seen. While we’re outside, we’re going to have to talk about that backyard. First of all, it’s so well designed with a huge crushed granite area with room for plenty of seating, modern firepits AND a game of cornhole though can we just go back to calling it beanbag toss? Please?

If you’d like to make your Midcentury dreams come true, check out 605 N. Waterview Drive. It has four bedrooms, two baths, 1,966 square feet, and is listed at $350,000.
