What does your photo say about you?“Lori has done some phenomenal shots for our store,” said Skibell. “We’re thrilled to offer this very special opportunity to daltxrealestate.com readers.”What makes for a good shot?Is one great headshot enough?Benefits of personal branding photography:

Photos don’t lie – or do they? Just ask anyone who’s swiped right on a dating app. Just how old is that photo?

Turns out, many people – including Realtors – are using outdated images on their websites, LinkedIn, and business cards. If it’s more than a few years since your last shoot, it’s probably time for a redo.

“I do mine several times a year,” said Compass agent Suzanne Warner. “You have to change with the seasons. It’s a holdover from spending years in the fashion industry.”

Dallas- and Chicago-based photographer Lori Sapio agrees. “You never want your photos to look dated. Professional headshots can solidify first impressions and earn your client’s trust. When done right, they’ll boost your commitment to quality and other important values.”

What does your photo say about you?

“The goal is to give people a glimpse inside your personality,” said Warner. “Your photos are part of your voice.”

If you’re due for an update, Skibell Fine Jewelry owner Lyn Skibell is hosting an event tailor-made for you. On Tuesday, Sept. 12, head to the Preston Center shop for a one-on-one photo session with Sapio and her team.

The $35 fee includes a professional photograph ready for posting or printing. Register online.

“Lori has done some phenomenal shots for our store,” said Skibell. “We’re thrilled to offer this very special opportunity to daltxrealestate.com readers.”

Realtors will be in good hands. In addition to her editorial and commercial work, Sapio has a gift for capturing moments with her portraiture.

“My clients can rely on my professional expertise and unwavering commitment,” she said. “It’s an honor to be a part of their journeys and immortalize the memories we create together.”

Appointments are available from 3 to 5 p.m. Sept. 12. Space is limited, so you’ll want to secure your spot as soon as possible.

Those scheduling an appointment will also receive a complimentary jewelry appraisal valued at $150 and be entered to win a $250 Skibell Fine Jewelry gift certificate.

Camera shy? No problem. Sapio’s M.O. is always the same.

“It’s all about the eyes and what’s happening behind them. This is your closeup, your moment. Be yourself and let me help coach you to capture the perfect headshot.”

What makes for a good shot?

“I call it ‘just right’ photography – not to young, not too old, not too retouched,” said Warner. “It needs to look authentic and real.”

Is one great headshot enough?

It’s a must-have. “But my favorite shots are those that go a step further, photos that really capture the essence of a person,” said Sapio.

For those wanting more, she’s offering 12 clients an exclusive, two-hour on-location photo session complete with professional hair, makeup and wardrobe styling (including Skibell jewels). Dates are October 15 and 16.
