We’ve already profiled several units inside this converted Farmers Market loft building, which might be the best example of such a building that Dallas has to offer. But this second-floor unit at 2220 Canton, No. 209, might just be my favorite. I love the layout — almost completely open save for a privacy wall blocking the view of the bedroom area from the living area. Everything else is just picture perfect, and the light, with windows that just skim the treetops, is sublime.
It has all the makings of a High Caliber Home of the Week presented by Lisa Peters of Caliber Home Loans. If this looks to be the lofty urban paradise you’ve always dreamed of, call Lisa today to get the right loan so you can move in and start the new year off right.
Let’s take a closer look inside this great building and gorgeous unit …
You can see why this loft building is one of our favorites in the city, as it is just exactly what comes to mind when you think about what a loft should look like. Wide open spaces, exposed brick, antique industrial windows, polished concrete floors, tall ceilings, exposed ducts, and museum-finish walls. There’s an ample kitchen, too, which opens to the main living space to make entertaining easy. Technically, it’s considered a one-bedroom, one-bathroom unit, but as you can see, with 1,558 square feet, there’s ample room for a home office. It’s great for a northeastern transplant looking to buy a space that feels familiar. David Griffin & Co. agent Lori Ericsson has listed No. 209 inside the Canton Loft Condos for $320,000.
Of course, there’s more to this Farmers Market loft than what’s inside. There’s plenty to love up top, too. A full-featured amenity deck on the roof gives you access to a pool, a covered seating area, plus plenty of room to relax and entertain. And considering the building’s location, the views of the downtown Dallas skyline are worthy of any urban photography buff. It would be an amazing backdrop for pictures!
