Are their certain neighborhoods that are more likely to have an unexpected guest of the spooky kind?

That’s what RealtyTrac set out to find as it searched for the Zip codes with the highest density of homes most likely to be haunted. What increases the likelihood of a haunting? According to RealtyTrac, it’s homes that are vacant with a deceased homeowner. While Mobile County, Ala., topped the list with one in 89 homes that is likely to be haunted, Dallas and Fort Worth both had Zip codes with high ratios of haunted homes.

Dallas-75216-Most-Haunted

There are 49,342 people who live in the 75216 Zip code of Dallas, which includes a significant portion of South Dallas, where there are 36 vacant homes with a deceased owner, coming out to 1 in 537 homes likely to be haunted.

Fort Worth: 76104

Fort-Worth-76104-Most-Haunted

Only 16,020 people live in the 76104 Zip code of Fort Worth, which encompasses the Near Southeast, Hillside, and Morningside areas of the city. There are 27 homes that are vacant with a deceased owner, which means you have a 1 in 262 chance of purchasing a home likely to be haunted.
