Sometimes I am just so stinking amazed at the cool listings Carrie Hill and Jacy Olson snag. They are working their way up to Brandon Stewart and Scott Carlson territory, I swear. Just goes to show how amazing these agents are!

This midcentury modern in Royal Springs Estates is just epic, too. It has to be the equivalent of a unicorn in Dallas real estate circles, because not only is it an amazing example of midcentury modern architecture, but it has been lovingly remodeled in a way that updates the home without destroying the character that makes these types of houses so highly sought after.

Truly, 10722 Royal Springs is like the homecoming queen at a high school dance: Everyone wants their turn around the dance floor, but only one lucky bidder will be crowned! And lucky is an understatement considering the size and amenities in this midcentury masterpiece. It’s brand new to the market, with two offers already and many more showings. It’s priced at $499,500, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it goes for more.

This home is actually more akin to a landmark, especially considering its pedigree. The seller purchased this 1954-built home from the original owners, who actually supplied this 2,043-square-foot home’s blueprints. It was designed by award-winning Dallas architect David Braden, who studied under Frank Lloyd Wright!

The home, which features two courtyards surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows that look out from separate wings of the house, has three bedrooms, two full baths, two living areas, and the most gorgeous hardwood floors. Tongue-in-groove vaulted ceilings and an open floor-plan complete this home’s masterful execution. I am just completely in awe!

You’ll adore the exposed brick walls, the two fireplaces, the artful mix of modern and vintage elements, and the key structural upgrades (commercial grade roof and Low-E windows) that will make this gorgeous property last well into the future. The kitchen has been renovated with beautiful cabinetry that blends seamlessly with the original parts of the home. Quartz countertops complete the sleek look of the kitchen, that includes stainless steel appliances, a grid-style mosaic backsplash, and the coolest turquoise apron sink! Now that is a fantastic pop of color that goes so well with the rest of the home — orange brick, blonde hardwoods, and that beautiful turquoise on the walls and in the kitchen.

Of course, you can’t ignore the bathrooms, which feature completely original tile. They look like they could probably use some grout restoration, and maybe a good polishing, but otherwise I wouldn’t dare change a thing! If it’s lasted 60 years, it falls into the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” category.
