Gino Blefari, CEO of HomeServices of America, addresses the audience of companywide top performers.

Say the name “Berkshire Hathaway” and there’s an instant click of recognition with whomever you’re talking to. Say the name “HomeServices of America,” and most likely, you’ll get a blank stare. But that’s okay because HSoA is actually the nation’s largest real estate company, based on closed transactions. And as the umbrella company for the residential real estate division of Berkshire Hathaway, it is quietly content to let its 54 brokerages in 30 states have the spotlight. After all, they’re the ones who helped HSoA achieve that No. 1 status.

In August, HSoA wanted to thank their top performers nationwide with a special gathering in San Diego – the first annual STRONGER TOGETHER conference. The Ebby Halliday Companies, comprising Ebby Halliday Realtors, Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate and Williams Trew, were well represented. Almost 600 agents attended the celebration and networking event, with EHC sending a sizable delegation of more than 100.

More than 100 agents from Ebby Halliday Realtors, Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate and Williams Trew made the trip to San Diego for the three-day “Stronger Together” conference.

“‘Stronger Together’ is exactly what the name implies,” said Chris Kelly, who attended the event as President & CEO of the Ebby Halliday Companies, but has since been named Executive Vice President of HomeServices of America. (Kelly remains President of EHC.) “We are stronger when we are together. It was an exciting time to gather everyone to learn, share and network with like-minded peers and realize the strength that comes from being part of this great HomeServices family of companies.”

Carolyn Rosson, who was recently promoted to President of the Ebby Halliday Companies with Kelly’s title change, praised the premise behind Stronger Together and looks forward to building on the first one in the years to come.

Carolyn Rosson, Southlake Top Producers Susan Gilchrest & Kelly Marcontell and Chris Kelly enjoy a special time of learning and collaboration.

“How do we continue to grow month after month, quarter after quarter, year after year?” Rosson asked. “With the best-in-the-business agents of HSoA whose drive, determination and talent deliver results every time. It was a fantastic time of sharing with each other how those results are achieved and taking this information back home to step their business up even more.”

Kelly Marcontell of Ebby Halliday’s Southlake office also participated in a peer panel on “Top Tools, Social Media & Practices.”

The first-class 3-day/3-night agenda featured globally renowned coaches, speakers, peer panels, outstanding networking events and some serious fun in one of California’s sunniest cities.
